Saqqaf: “We hope to see more Australian investments in Jordan”

Amman, Investment Minister Kholoud Saqqaf on Thursday said that Jordan is eager to draw more Australian investments and noted that Jordanian goods are available to more than 1.5 billion people in a variety of international markets.

The remarks were made during a meeting with Australian Ambassador to Jordan Bernard Lynch to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral trade cooperation.

The minister discussed economic indicators for Jordan over the previous period, highlighting the significant and positive change in Jordan’s credit rating that was recently announced by international credit rating agency Moody’s.

Furthermore, Saqqaf outlined the most significant legislative amendments and the Jordanian government’s efforts to enhance the investment and business-doing climate, stressing that the Kingdom offers highly competitive investment opportunities across a wide range of sectors.

Lynch emphasized that Australia and Jordan have a history of more than a century of friendship and constant engagement, and that their relations are based on common interests and reflected in their close cooperation.
