Under His Majesty King Abdullah’s directives, Royal Court Chief, head of the committee to follow up on the implementation of Royal Initiatives, Yousef Issawi, Saturday held a series of meetings with Central Badia tribal leaders and figures to discuss the region’s needs which were demanded during the King’s visit to the region earlier this month.

The demands focused on improving services and raising living conditions in the Central Badia through carrying out government service and development projects to create job opportunities and alleviate poverty and unemployment, particularly among local youth.

During the Royal Court meetings, which were attended by the King’s Adviser for Tribal Affairs Atef Hajaya, Issawi said that His Majesty directed reaching out to everyone to follow up on all issues of concern to citizens, provide quality services and improve living conditions.

Issawi told the local leaders that priority projects will be funded through the Royal Court in coordination with concerned government bodies and civil society institutions, particularly productivity and job-generating projects.

He said the Royal Court implemented numerous projects across the Central Badia through the royal initiatives in past years and in various sectors.
