Prime Minister, Dr. Bisher Khasawneh, on Thursday, received a report prepared by the Royal Hashemite Documentation Centre (RHDC) on the archiving state in Jordan’s various ministries and institutions.

The premier stressed the importance of the RHDC’s effort in preserving state documents that constitute a “national memory related to Jordan’s history, present and future.”

RHDC’s Director General, Muhannad Mubaideen, who delivered the report, said it represents the “first of its kind” project on the archiving state in Jordan’s ministries and institutions, which coincides with the Jordanian state’s centennial.

Mubaideen said the RHDC, based on its “procedural” role in preserving the national memory by restoring, processing, photographing and preserving documents and manuscripts of all kinds, has launched a “comprehensive” documentation project for historical state documents since its establishment.

Mubaideen also lauded the “high” cooperation and response from the government and the institutions included in the RHDC’s archiving survey.

The project covered about 90 public institutions and a set of reports will be issued later, he pointed out.
