Mobaideen also indicated that agreement was reached on some points related to the draft election law before the Eid al-Adha holiday, and that the matter may need more discussion and consensus today.
Regarding the constitutional amendments committee, Mobaideen said that the committee, as is known, is awaiting the outcomes of the committees collectively to consider the amendments.
With regard to the local administration committee, he talked about the continuation of submitting new recommendations for legislation related to local government laws.
He explained that the youth and women empowerment committees, and in many committees, submitted special papers from members of the two committees in other committees with the aim of adopting them, and thus a set of proposals are presented to relevant committees, expecting the sub-committees to finish their discussions after August 15th.
On procedures that the proposed bills and constitutional amendments are going through, Mobaideen said that the subcommittees, after completing their work, will submit their recommendations to the Executive Council, and then the Council will submit them to the General Authority of the Royal Committee to Modernise the Political System for approval.
