Parliament Speaker Muhammad Al-Halbousi affirmed his support for the freedom and independence of the press.
Al-Halbousi said in a tweet on Twitter on the occasion of World Press Freedom Day: We highly appreciate the journalists in our country who work sincerely to provide reliable information and news, and we remember the sacrifices they made for the truth. We support the freedom and independence of the press, because it is a basic and important right in laying the foundations of democracy.
