Moscow, The Kremlin Thursday said Russia’s public debt stood at more than $56 billion as of last October and that the national debt decreased 5.2 per cent from last year.
The Russian government said in a statement: “Russia’s external public debt decreased by 5.2 per cent from the level recorded last year when it amounted to $59.702 billion to $56.59 billion recorded in October.”
The statement added: “The volume of Russia’s external public debt decreased in the first nine months of this year by $3110.3 million, a 5.2 per cent decrease.”
