Jordanian Nursing Council obtained AHA Life Support programs’ certification

The Jordanian Nursing Council (JNC) obtained international certification from the American Heart Association (AHA), after meeting its standards in Life Support programs.

In a press statement on Sunday, JNC’s Secretary-General, Dr. Hani Nawafleh, said the council’s achievement to obtain AHA’s certification in the field of life support courses will make an “important, qualitative” leap in the level of continuous professional development for all health practitioners.

Training health workers in these programs would raise the number of patient survival cases, who are exposed to sudden cardiac arrest, he noted.

On future plans, all staff will be trained on the most modern equipment in the areas of life support training and trainees will receive an AHA-approved international certificate in this field, he pointed out.

To date, the council has trained internationally accredited trainers, he noted, indicating that it has made a priority within the framework of its plan to advance level of health workers’ credentials.
