Amman, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Major General Yousef Huneiti and his Italian counterpart Thursday held talks in Amman on military cooperation.
Huneiti discussed with the Italian Chief of Defence Staff, Admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragonewith, and an accompanying delegation the future of military cooperation and regional and international developments.
“The Jordanian-Italian relations constitute a model to be followed in facing various challenges and difficulties. Cooperation continues with the Italian Armed Forces in all military fields by employing mutual expertise and capabilities,” Huneiti said.
In turn, Dragonewith noted the depth of relations between Jordan and Italy, praising Jordan’s “pivotal” role in combating terrorism and extremism and consolidating regional security and stability.
