The Commissioner General at the National Center for Human Rights (NCHR), Aladdin Armouti, on Wednesday discussed with Vice-President of Egyptian National Human Rights Institutions (NHRIs), Mahmoud Karem, coordination prospects and ways to exchange expertise in the human rights fields.

Discussions also went over training areas and preparation of human rights reports, periodic reviews, and studies, according to a NHCR statement.

Armouti said Jordan is concerned with strengthening cooperation with Egypt in human rights areas, coordinating related positions, promoting joint work in this regard, as well as intensifying mutual visits between the Jordanian and Egyptian human rights bodies.

Karem, for his part, expressed his pride in the “Jordanian model” in the human rights fields, and the direct Royal interest in the NHCR’S reports in this regard.
