JAF receives devices, equipment from US DTRA

The General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces (JAF) – the Arab Army on Tuesday held a ceremony to receive devices and equipment provided by the Us Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), in the chemical support group.

These equipment aim to support the efforts of the armed forces, security agencies and a number of national institutions in carrying out their tasks by providing them with equipment, devices and training personnel.

Assistant for Defense Planning, Organization and Resources at JAF, Brigadier General Ibrahim Nuaimat, said: “the close relationship between the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the United States of America was positively and significantly reflected in increasing joint cooperation with the DTRA.”

“The agency provided support to the JAF and national institutions, which led to raising the level of their defense capabilities, in addition to contributing to defining clear frameworks commensurate with the available capabilities and the nature of the environment imposed by current and future threats,” Nuaimat added.

This included, he noted, identifying gaps and developing appropriate solutions for them in terms of training, qualification, resources, exchange of expertise, and utilization of capabilities and training at the national level.
