The Indian Ministry of Health, on Tuesday, announced that the country registered 86,498 cases of the COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, the lowest daily count since June 6.

The COVID-19 caseload reached 28.99 million, the Indian Press Agency (New Delhi) quoted the Ministry of Health as saying.

Around 2,123 new deaths were recorded, bringing the total number of deaths since the start of the pandemic to 351,309 people, it said.
