Independent MP Kadhim Al-Fayyad affirmed that reducing the budget deficit is political by a certain percentage.
He told the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA /: The budget deficit expected to be approved during the current month is large and needs important steps to reduce it.
Al-Fayyad added: The decline in the budget deficit rates is not entirely economic, but it has an important percentage on the political side, which is if al-Sudani is allowed to follow his reform footsteps, we will see a clear reduction of the deficit.
Parliament committees are still in continuous discussions and hosting ministers and governors in order to reach an appropriate formula for approving a general budget for the state for three years.
