A slight rise in mercury levels is expected on Sunday, bringing relatively hot weather in the highlands and the plains, and hot conditions in other parts of the Kingdom, with northwesterly moderate winds, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily brief.

On Monday, temperatures will dip few degrees, making fair weather in the hilly areas and the plains, while it will be relatively hot in other regions until Tuesday, with low clouds and northwesterly moderate to active winds, blowing dust in the Badia at times, the JMD added.

The highs in Amman and other highlands across the Kingdom on Sunday will range between 32 and 34 degrees Celsius, dropping at night to 19C or even 16C in the northern highlands. In the city of Aqaba, it will be much hotter with mercury reaching a high of 42C and a low of 26C.
