Health Minister visits Air Ambulance Centre

Minister of Health Firas Hawari Tuesday pledged that his ministry stands ready to cooperate and provide all forms of support to the Jordan Air Ambulance Centre (JAAC) to take advantage of its modern technologies and infrastructure capabilities to carry out quality service.

He spoke during a visit to the JAAC, where he met Royal Air Force Commander Brig. Gen. Mohammad Hiyasat, and was briefed by the centre’s director on its role to serve the medical sector and medical tourism through providing ambulance and air transport services.

The minister hailed the efforts of the centre and its personnel for their key role in serving Jordanians and residents of the Kingdom through securing air ambulance service to those who suffer serious injury during emergencies in remote areas, which require speedy transfers to hospitals.

The JAAC was established in 2015 under the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II as an independent government facility offering medical evacuation service to seriously injured people in remote areas to advanced health centers in the country.
