The global caseload of the coronavirus has surged to 580.6 million, as of Thursday, according to the Johns Hopkins University.
In its latest update, the University revealed that the current global death toll climbed up to around 6.4 million, with the total number of vaccines globally administered reaching 11.98 billion jabs.
