Foreign Ministry: Israel drops charges against two Jordanian detainees

Israeli authorities decided to drop the charges against Jordanian citizens, Musab Daajah and Khalifeh Onouz, and to call off the arrest procedures, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates announced on Tuesday.

In a statement, the Ministry said the decision came after vigorous follow-up, contacts and efforts undertaken by the Jordanian officials and the institutions of the concerned countries.

The two Jordanians were arrested by Israeli occupation forces last month for crossing the Jordanian-Palestinian borders.

“Work is currently underway to arrange the procedures for their release in order to hand them over to the Jordanian authorities,” the statement added.
