Temperatures on Monday are expected to rise 2-3 degrees above annual average, so it will be moderate in the highlands and the plains, and relatively hot in other parts of the Kingdom, with clouds at various altitudes, the Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily brief.

At night, pleasant weather will prevail nationwide, with a weak chance for spotty showers in the southern regions, the JMD added.

Toward Tuesday, unstable weather conditions will start affecting the country, making partly cloudy skies with a chance for scattered rain accompanied by thunder at times, the department noted.

In the evening, heavy rain is forecast in the eastern and southern areas, while winds will be northwesterly moderate to brisk, the meteorologists predicted.

On Wednesday, mercury levels will rise few degrees, but similar fair conditions will continue to persist in many regions, except in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba where it will be relatively hot, with clouds at medium and high altitudes, and a possibility of showers over the eastern areas, the JMD further said.

The highs in Amman and other highlands across the Kingdom on Monday will range between 28 and 31 degrees Celsius, dropping at night to 18C or even 14C in the southern highlands. In the Gulf city of Aqaba, it will be much hotter with mercury reaching a high of 35C and a low of 24C.
