COVID-19 killed 12 people in Jordan in the last 24 hours, as the death toll stands at 9,614, and a total of 500 cases were recorded, pushing the caseload to some 744,377, according to the Ministry of Health (MoH).

The MoH said in a press statement Tuesday that 50 people had recovered and were discharged from hospitals while 53 others were admitted, as the total number of COVID-19 patients receiving medical treatment in hospitals stands at 494.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom hovers around 7,093, it added.

Some 727,670 COVID-19 patients, including patients who had been self-isolating, have fully recovered so far.

It said 2.47 percent of the 20,236 tests conducted today came back positive.

More than 1.96 million people have had their first COVID vaccine jab, while 782,039 people have been fully vaccinated, the MoH added.
