Consumer protection MoU inked by Jordan, Oman released in Official Gazette

Articles of the memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed by Jordan and Oman in the consumer protection field were recently issued in the Official Gazette.

The MoU provides the basis to exchange information, visits, expertise and studies related to consumer protection area, organize training programs and benefit from related workshops and conferences.

The memo also launches joint awareness programs and activate joint “strategic” cooperation and coordinating positions at international and regional organizations working in this field.

In addition, the MoU sets a joint mechanism to follow up on recalls of imported goods, test and withdraw harmful items, if available, and issue mutual notices on the tests results.
