Boeing to release software update

Washington, Boeing CEO, Dennis Muilenburg, announced on Monday that a software update and training for pilots of the 737 MAX aircraft will be released soon.

Muilenburg said in a statement, following reports that French investigators found “clear similarities” between Boeing crashes in Indonesia and Ethiopia, they are taking actions to fully ensure the safety of the 737 MAX.

The Ethiopian Airlines plane crashed about eight days ago, killing 157 people. The crash has stopped the operation of Max’s fleet around the world.

The United States and many other countries have grounded the Max 8s and larger Max 9s as Boeing faces the challenge of proving the jets are safe to fly amid suspicions that faulty sensors and software contributed to the two crashes in less than five months.
