Bani Mustafa meets WANA Institute director over future cooperation

Minister of State for Legal Affairs/ Chairperson of Ministerial Committee for Women Empowerment, Wafaa Bani Mustafa, met on Sunday, Director of the West Asia and North Africa (WANA) Institute, Sherine Shaheen, and her accompanying delegation.

Speaking at the meeting, Bani Mustafa presented Jordan’s three modernization paths currently being implemented at the beginning of its second centenary, which are Royal Committee to Modernise the Political System (RCMPS), Economic Modernization Vision, and Public Sector Modernization roadmap.

The minister also referred to the executive plan carried out by Women’s Empowerment Team, developed to implement Economic Modernization Vision’s outcomes, with the aim of integrating women’s opportunities and enhancing their participation in the labor market in accordance with the vision’s axes.

For their part, WANA delegation reviewed projects currently being implemented in the field of social justice and human security, in addition to plans to train Jordanian youth on research skills and produce public policy papers in these areas.

The delegates expressed aspiration to partner and work with Ministerial Committee for Women Empowerment, and align their programs with its goals and tasks that are underway.
