Army foils infiltration attempt on borders with Syria

A Border Guard unit early Sunday foiled an infiltration and smuggling attempt on the Kingdom’s borders with Syria.

An official military source in the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army said that the army personnel applied the rules of engagement with the group of infiltrators, and, after conducting a thorough search, they seized 154 blocks of Hashish and 900,000 Captagon pills.

The sources underscored that the army will respond with all strength and resolve against any infiltration or smuggling attempt to protect the Kingdom’s borders and prevent any violation of national security.
