The Sudan Doctors Syndicate announced that the death toll of civilians has risen since the start of the clashes between the army forces and the Rapid Support Forces, in the middle of last month, to 530 dead and 2948 injured.

The Syndicate said, in a statement: “Clashes are still taking place between the armed forces and the Rapid Support Forces for the twenty-eighth day in a row, which resulted in more victims being counted until the moment the report was issued in the capital and the regions.”

The statement indicated that the number of deaths among civilians rose “since the beginning of the clashes to 530 deaths, and 2948 cases of injury.”

The delegations of the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces, in the negotiations between them, hosted by the Saudi city of Jeddah, last Thursday, reached a preliminary agreement to protect civilians in Sudan from armed clashes.
