Jordan Golf Federation, Ayla join forces to promote golf in Jordan

The Jordan Golf Federation and Ayla Oasis Development Company have recently signed a cooperation agreement aimed at introducing women and juniors to golf and encouraging them to practice and compete in local, regional, and international tournaments.

The agreement, signed by Ayla’s Managing Director Sahl Dudin and Jordan Golf Federation President Nidal Majali, has the strategic goal of assisting in the formation of national teams of all categories to compete at Arab and regional levels in the coming years.

In addition to hosting important international golf tournaments and events, the agreement aims to improve the infrastructure of golf sporting facilities and develop the skills of local coaches and referees.

It also aims to strengthen Jordan’s junior golf league so that it can represent Jordan at the regional level, following in the footsteps of the Jordan Open Golf Championships, which is now internationally recognized.

Dudin noted that Ayla and the Jordan Golf Federation have collaborated over the past few years to advance Jordanian golf, adding, “Today, through this agreement, we continue to work hand in hand with the Federation to promote the growth and development of golf in the Jordanian community by encouraging both genders to participate in this healthy, highly competitive sport. This sport teaches respectable social traits such as patience, self-discipline, and nerve control, all of which we endeavor to teach and instill in ourselves and our children.”

Dudin cited Ayla’s extensive golf expertise and infrastructure, including the first green signature golf course built to international standards. This in addition to a golf academy that offers specialized training and education for people of all ages under the supervision of Professional Golfers’ Association-certified trainers (GPA).

Majali, for his part, praised Ayla’s efforts in promoting and expanding golf’s growth locally, noting that Ayla is the first and only company that has worked to provide global infrastructure for this sport at the local level, while emphasizing the Federation’s efforts in promoting the production and growth of golf.

He noted that in recent years, the sport has achieved national, Arab, and international success at all levels, whether in terms of expansion, growth, the number of players, or the high level of representation.

Majali went on to say that the cooperation agreement signed by the two parties will strengthen Jordan’s vital position internationally while also promoting tourism in the Aqaba Special Economic Zone at the national level.

The Ayla Golf Club is home to a specialized golf academy that provides private and group lessons taught by qualified instructors for all ages and levels of experience. It is designed to meet the needs of professional and amateur golfers alike. The club provides assistance to professional players and has flexible membership options for businesses, individuals, families, couples, and up-and-coming athletes.
