Al-Hawatmeh conveys King’s greetings to PSD cadres

Public Security Department (PSD) Director Maj. Gen. Hussein al-Hawatmeh conveyed greetings of His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces (JAF)-Arab Army to the PSD cadres on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.

Al-Hawatmeh praised the role carried out by all the cadres, namely, in the holy month of Ramdan, remembering comrades-in-arms whom passed away while performing their duties along with their colleagues.

He made his remarks, during the PSD celebration of Eid al-Fitr, where its prayer was held at the department’s yard, in the presence of senior officers and a large number of PSD units.

During the event, al-Hawatmeh said that the department has achieved a number of stages due to the Royal support in various spheres.

He urged all the units to communicate with the public to implement a plan to facilitate traffic flow and to guarantee suitable environment in this regard.

Jordanians perform Eid al-Fitr prayer

Jordanians, on Monday, performed Eid al-Fitr prayer countrywide in mosques and yards that were identified by the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs.

On the occasion, Judge Zeid al-Kilani delivered Eid al-Fitr sermon at the Sports City’s yard in the capital Amman and congratulated His Majesty King Abdullah, His Royal Highness Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, the Crown Prince.

Al-Kilani also congratulated worshippers at al-Aqsa Mosque/ Al Haram Al Sharif compound, praising their role in protecting the holy place.

Autumn weather conditions prevail countrywide

A slight rise in temperatures is expected, on Monday, as autumn weather conditions forecast in most parts of the Kingdom, while relatively hot conditions are expected in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and the port city of Aqaba, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily update.

Winds will be northwesterly moderate, picking up at times, the JMD added.

As of night hours, a khamasini dusty depression affects the Kingdom, with a weak chance for scattered showers in the northern parts of Kingdom.

Temperatures in the capital Amman will range between a high of 26 degrees Celsius and a low of 15 degrees.

Highs in the port city of Aqaba will hike up to 36 degrees during the day, sliding to 24 degrees at night.
