Nikkiso Cosmodyne Commissions TGNO-1000 Developed for Float Glass Applications

TEMECULA, Calif., Sept. 15, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Nikkiso Cryogenic Industries’ Clean Energy & Industrial Gases Group (Group), a subsidiary of Nikkiso Co., Ltd (Japan), is pleased to announce Nikkiso Cosmodyne recently commissioned its TGNO-1000 gaseous oxygen and nitrogen plant. The new plant targets float glass manufacturing and was sold to an industrial gases company.

The Nikkiso Cosmodyne TGNO is a cryogenic oxygen and nitrogen generator designed to produce three gaseous product streams: medium and high-pressure nitrogen gas and oxygen gas. The high-pressure nitrogen comes directly off the nitrogen column at approximately 8.5 bar(g). The medium pressure nitrogen stream comes from the oxygen column overhead and is boosted by a waste stream expander to approximately 2.3 bar(g). The gaseous oxygen comes directly off the oxygen column which runs at an elevated pressure of 2.3 bar(g). All this is accomplished at a low specific power of 0.27 KW/Nm3

The TGNO-1000 was configured with mostly preexisting components to meet the developmental needs of this multi-product plant. This allowed them to meet the stringent goals of their industrial gas customer, who is selling the molecules to the float glass customer. The plant also operates without an attendant, so can handle fluctuations in product demand without human intervention.

The prefabricated TGNO is delivered in pre-piped, pre-wired, easy-to-install modular sections. The chiller, adsorber beds, switching valves and turboexpander are mounted in a single skid, minimizing field work. The control room module houses the motor control center and required analyzers.

The new MTG-B2000YBD and MTG-B2000XD are part of the MT-G line of watches that feature a construction that makes the most of the properties of both metal and resin, and a bezel component made of multilayer carbon.

The MTG-B2000YBD and MTG-B2000XD are based on the MTG-B2000, which features a Dual Core Guard structure that gives added strength while highlighting the appeal of the materials. The new watches employ a newly developed bezel frame and top made of carbon materials, creating a beautiful exterior design while also reducing weight.

The MTG-B2000YBD has a bezel frame at its sides that is formed by layering and machining multiple carbon and fiberglass sheets. The new bezel frame is 77% lighter than the stainless steel one used in the MTG-B2000. The top-layer carbon sheet is wrapped around the side, and cylindrical carbon sheets are wrapped around the lugs for enhanced durability. A polygonal crown complements the bezel design. New Dust- and Mud-Resistant Watch Uses Innovative Materials and Structure for a Smaller, Slimmer Profile

TOKYO, Sept. 15, 2021 /PRNewswire/ — Casio Computer Co., Ltd. announced the latest addition to the Master of G line of G-SHOCK shock-resistant watches, which are designed for use in the most extreme conditions. The new MUDMASTER GWG-2000 is the first G-SHOCK to be built with forged carbon, which is both lightweight and strong.

The GWG-2000 is the latest addition to the MUDMASTER series of watches with a dust- and mud-resistant structure designed for use in land environments with lots of dirt, sand, mud, dust, or rubble. For the first time in a G-SHOCK watch, the new GWG-2000 employs forged carbon, a material that is used in aircraft and racing cars.

Forged carbon is a special type of carbon fiber-reinforced resin, a material that is lighter than and has tensile strength superior to stainless steel. With its ability to be pressed into complex shapes, forged carbon is used for the lug connecting the bezel to the band on both sides, structurally protecting the watch face.

Forged carbon is made by kneading fine particles of carbon fiber into resin, which is then forged in a press die at high temperature and pressure. Viewed from certain angles, fine carbon particles are visible on the surface, forming a random black and gray pattern that not only looks appealing but is truly one of a kind.

King stresses important role of Arab American organisations in enhancing US-Arab relations

His Majesty King Abdullah on Wednesday stressed the important role of Arab American organisations in the United States in enhancing Arab-US relations, noting the need to maintain engagement with the US administration and various institutions in the United States.

At a meeting with representatives of Arab American organisations and leading Arab figures in New York, attended by Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, King Abdullah commended the Arab community in the US, and their effective role in communicating Arab positions to US decision makers.

The meeting covered regional and international developments, especially in Arab countries, foremost of which is the Palestinian cause.

His Majesty stressed that the region cannot reach security and stability without a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue, based on the two-state solution that guarantees the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the 4 June 1967 lines, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

Discussions also covered global and regional economic challenges, especially with the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The King noted the investment opportunities offered by the region, urging leading Arab figures in the US to encourage investors to come to Arab countries.

Moreover, the meeting addressed the situation of refugees in the region and the burden shouldered by host countries, especially amid a drop in support from donor countries and the international community.

For their part, the attendees commended Jordan’s role in defending Arab causes, especially the Palestinian cause, expressing appreciation for His Majesty’s leadership at the Arab and international levels.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, Director of the Office of His Majesty Jafar Hassan, Jordan’s Ambassador to the United States Dina Kawar, and Jordan’s Permanent Representative to the UN Mahmoud Hmoud attended the meeting.

The King’s meeting with Arab American figures came as part of a number of meetings His Majesty is holding in the United States, which also included leading business people from various sectors, including tourism, investment, and industry.
