Jordanians from all walks of life, on Friday, converged at al-Karameh area near the occupied Palestinian territories to voice their support to the Palestinian brothers.

They expressed their anger from the Israeli attack on the Gaza Strip, the holy city of Jerusalem, and the rest of the occupied Palestinian territories.

They also condemned the Israeli aggression, stressing their support for the steadfastness of the Palestinian brothers.

The participants at the event also reiterated Jordan’s stance towards the Palestinian cause that supports them to gain their legitimate rights.

UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, on Friday, called for an immediate halt to hostilities in the Palestinian occupied territories.

In a tweet he added that: “Out of respect for the spirit of Eid, I appeal for an immediate de-escalation and cessation of hostilities in Gaza and Israel. Too many innocent civilians have already died. This conflict can only increase radicalization and extremism in the whole region.”

The Public Security Department (PSD) spokesperson, on Friday, the department personnel have taken all necessary measures to ensure appropriate and reasonable use of police force against protestors who gathered in the Southern Shouna to voice their support for the Palestinian brothers.

A limited number of protestors, the spokesperson said, have assaulted private properties in the area.

He called on the protestors to abide by the allocated places for gathering to maintain order and security.

Jordanians from all walks of life took to the streets on Friday in solidarity with the Palestinian people, the holy city of Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip.

The capital Amman, Aqaba, Ajloun, Irbid, Tafila, Karak, Zarqa, and Balqaa, have witnessed a wide range of demonstrations which reject the Israeli aggressions, violations, and attacks on the Palestinians.

The demonstrators stressed that the Jordanian leadership, the government, and the people of Jordan are standing by the Palestinian brothers as they resisting all the illegal measures by the Israeli occupation authorities.
