184 businesses fined for breaking anti-COVID-19 defense orders-Trade Ministry

Local monitoring authorities have fined 184 establishments countrywide for violating work protocols and health protection measures, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply on Sunday.

 

During inspection tours, 10 facilities were fined for non-compliance to the work protocols, while 113 businesses received fines for workers’ failure to wear face masks and observe physical distancing, the ministry added.

 

Moreover, 36 violations were issued to hookah cafes for providing service in closed halls, while 16 other establishments were fined for failing to post guidance panels in trade centers, the ministry pointed out.

 

On Saturday, the monitoring authorities visited 1,768 facilities, which included academies, sports centers, “indoor” hotel swimming pools, sports centers, food stores, and malls, announced the ministry.

 

In addition, 1,043 individuals were also fined for violating mask and social distancing protocols, the statement noted.
