The Ministry of Health said Monday that it recorded 16 coronavirus deaths and 4,324 infections across the Kingdom, bringing the death toll from the pandemic to 11,377 and the caseload to 919,173.

According to the ministry’s daily brief, the positivity rate for the day was at 9.26 per cent.

It said that the number of currently active cases reached 40,807 with 153 admitted to hospitals today, adding that 99 cases have been discharged. It said that the total number of confirmed cases that are now hospitalized reached 880.

According to the daily report, the occupancy rate of isolation beds in the northern region was 26 per cent, intensive care beds was 43 per cent and ventilators 25 per cent.

The occupancy rate of isolation beds in the central region was at 23 percent, intensive care beds 41 per cent and ventilators 14 per cent, it said.

In the southern region, the occupancy rate of isolation beds was at 13 per cent, intensive care beds 26 per cent and ventilators 15 per cent, it said.

The ministry said that 2,577 Covid-19 patients have recovered, bringing the total number of expected recoveries by the end of the 14-day isolation period to 866,989.

It also said that 46,672 PCR tests were conducted today, bringing the total number of swab tests that had been collected since the beginning of the pandemic to 11,793,562.

Some 4,086,627 received the first COVID-19 jab, while 3,682,681 received the two jabs, the brief added.
